Privacy policy

Which of your data the society keeps, why, and who can see it, in plain words.

Last updated: October 29, 2026

What we keep

When your membership is opened, the office records:

  • Name (Bangla and English), father's or husband's name, mother's name, date of birth
  • Business name, type and market or road
  • Present and permanent address, mobile number
  • National ID (NID) number
  • Nominee details: name, relation, mobile, date of birth, ID and address
  • Photo, signature and photos of your ID card
  • Your savings, share, Stayi Amanot, loan and other transaction records

Why we keep it

To run your membership, keep your accounts and passbook, handle loans, work out the year-end service charge and profit share, and contact you when needed. For nothing else.

Who can see it

  • When you sign in you see only your own data and accounts. Other members cannot see your data.
  • Society office staff see only what their duties need.
  • Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Photos and documents

Photos, signatures and ID card photos are stored with a cloud image storage service. They can only be seen through the app, after signing in.

SMS

When a transaction is entered in your account, an SMS is sent to your mobile through an SMS provider. Only your mobile number and the message text go to the provider for this.

Cookies

Only sign-in cookies are used, to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no visitor analytics. YouTube videos on the media page are shown in privacy-enhanced mode; once you play one, YouTube may set its own cookies.

Where the data is kept

The app and its data are kept in data centers outside Bangladesh (in India). Everything between your browser and the server travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Corrections and questions

If any of your data is wrong or you want it changed, tell the office and it will be corrected. For any question about this policy, contact the office.
