Who we are
Lohagara Bottoli Byabosayi Kallyan Somobay Somiti Ltd is a registered cooperative society of the traders of Bottoli bazar, with about 320 members today. The society keeps its members' savings (amanot), share and Stayi Amanot (fixed deposit) accounts, and works out the service charge and profit share at the end of each year.
History and mission
The traders of Bottoli set up this society to save together and to stand by each other when needed. Over the years the membership has grown, and the society now works from its own office building.
Our mission is simple: keep a clear account of every taka of every member, keep their savings safe, and work fairly for everyone under the rules of the cooperative.
What we do for members
Savings (amanot)
Members' regular savings are kept with the society as deposits.
Share
Every member's share account is kept separately.
Stayi Amanot
A fixed deposit account for long-term savings.
Collection at your shop
Society staff also collect deposits at members' shops.
Year-end accounts
At the end of each year the service charge and the profit share are worked out.
Your passbook online
Members sign in to see their own passbook and accounts.
Our own office building and land
The society's office is in its own building. The building and its land were bought with members' Stayi Amanot, so they belong to the members together.
